Sessions & attendance
Scheduling meetings, marking who came, recordings, and what students are told when a session moves.
A session is one meeting of a cohort: a number, a title, a time, and optionally a meeting link. Sessions are numbered so the schedule has an order independent of dates.
Attendance
- Marked per session, per student. A student is PRESENT or EXCUSED; anyone unmarked is simply absent.
- Students can check themselves in if you enable it for a session.
- Attendance feeds the at-risk view, which is how you find students drifting before they disappear.
Recordings
- Upload your own recording, or paste a link to YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive.
- Students watch recordings inside the portal.
- Available on Pro and Center. On Growth the feature is off — existing uploads are not deleted if a subscription lapses.
When something changes
Students who were told a session exists are told when it moves or is cancelled. The notification says to check the schedule rather than quoting a time, because the notification is written once and read by people in different places — a formatted time would be frozen in one timezone and stale the next time it moves.
