Tasks & grading

Setting work, collecting submissions, grading, and the AI feedback pass.

A task is work you set a cohort. It has a title, a description, an optional deadline, and a maximum score.

Draft and published

A task is invisible to students until you publish it. An unpublished task cannot have submissions, so nobody is behind on it — the missing-submissions list will tell you the task is still a draft rather than listing the whole cohort as late.

Submissions

  • Students submit text, a file, a link, or a combination — whatever the task asks for.
  • Late submissions are accepted and shown as late rather than refused, unless you close the task.
  • You see who has submitted, who has not, and what is waiting to be graded.

Grading

  • Grade out of the task's maximum, with a written comment.
  • A grade is visible to that student and to nobody else.
  • Changing a grade after publishing it re-notifies the student.

AI feedback

Hudhud can draft feedback on a submission. It is a DRAFT: it appears for you to edit and send, never straight to the student. Each run spends one Hudhud request from your monthly allowance.
